The Mortal Kombat film is a live-action adaptation of the popular Mortal Kombat video game franchise. It was released on April 23, 2021, by Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line Cinema. The movie follows a MMA fighter named Cole Young who is recruited to compete in a tournament known as Mortal Kombat in order to defend Earthrealm from the evil Outworld.
